Democrats are Weak on Renewable Energy

Reports are in that Senator Bennet (D) is ready to get on board with the Keystone pipeline.  Now, that didn’t take long, did it?

Of course, this would NEVER be an issue with a Green in office.

The GPCO Releases an Official Statement:

Colorado families need jobs now, but the Keystone XL Pipeline’s promise of dirty energy and a few short-term temporary jobs are not the way.  The 10 Key Values of the Green Party of Colorado calls out the ecological wisdom of supporting sustainable, energy-efficient practices that benefit not only today’s society but future generations as well.  Therefore, the Colorado Greens call upon Sen. Michael Bennet to vote no on the Keystone XL and instead focus on efforts to develop wind and solar energy, which today are bringing long-term, lucrative jobs to Colorado while preserving our environment.  Sen. Bennet should not play games with Colorado families’ economic future and environment.  Colorado deserves better.
