San Miguel Greens hosted one county assembly in Norwood on Feb. 16th at Two Candles Restaurant & Lounge, with another scheduled for Feb. 23rd at the County Meeting Room of the Miramonte Building in Telluride at 6 p.m. All registered Greens and those interested in joining the Green Party welcome.
In Norwood the half-dozen San Miguel Greens recommended by consensus nomination of Art Goodtimes for re-election to the San Miguel County Board of Commissioners (District 3), didn’t have a preference on state races, and supported Jill Stein for the Green Presidential candidate.
Three members volunteered to serve as San Miguel Green Representatives to our state on-line Council, Hartley Bloomfield, Ben Williams, and Marty Schmalz, who — together with John Wontrobski — make our chapter’s full complement of 4 (I’m on Council as a state party officer). Several members expressed interest in attending the 2012 State Meeting and Nominating Convention Saturday, March 31, in Carbondale at the Third Street Center.
