Dr. Stein at Denver 420

Did you know there is a general strike today? It’s the May Day strike, and many Greens will support this movement by spending the day in protest and celebration. The Denver Greens, specifically, officially support the strike, and will be present at the May Day March today in Denver.

For those unaware of the Green Party platform, you can find out more about it here. Our party is a party of the people, seeking to free the world from the grip of corporate influence. We pursue this goal through a platform of nonviolent, community-based economics and environmental wisdom. Each Green Local is a true reflection of its community membership, and when you vote Green you know you will be voting for someone who believes in Green values that support our communities and our planet for the long term, not for short term gains.

Dr. Stein came to Colorado to support our movement to legalize cannabis. On April 20 she spoke to a rally of thousands of souls about the message of a Green future. She has heard and responded to the call for social tolerance.

She made time to personally speak with members of the community and listened to the local needs for wise energy policies that do not waste millions of gallons of water fracking wells under our farms.

She heard our call for a serious look at our health care system and the need to address rising costs without giving more handouts to big pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Stein has heard the call for our soldiers to return home, for an end to empire and a focus on America’s infrastructure and America’s Green future.

Today, May Day, the Green Party of Colorado is calling on the people to support Dr. Stein’s campaign for the presidency. Protest this system that favors corporate wealth with a personal donation of your own to a candidate who will be there for you when she reaches the White House.
