𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: Former President Donald Trump last night made the decision to put the safety of more than a half of million Coloradoans at risk. During the ABC News Presidential Debate the former President continued to promote the false narrative that Aurora, Colorado had been taken over by violent gangs with foreign ties.

These lies don’t care about city limits or congressional districts. They bleed across the internet, repeating themselves on every personal device before being twisted even further in daily conversations.
We acknowledge that Donald Trump’s racism and xenophobia has been well documented, but that cannot replace accountability. We must continue to call out the danger it poses – especially when it’s targeting our neighbors.

The Green Party of Colorado calls on elected officials and community leaders from across our state to join us in denouncing this latest strain of Trump sponsored racism and xenophobia. We must use our collective voices to support every person who calls Colorado home, and that starts with the understanding that no human being is illegal.
