Green Wave: GPCO Launches Candidate Recruitment Drive for 2025 Local Elections
The Green Party of Colorado is calling on passionate and knowledgeable community members to consider running for local offices in 2025. This initiative comes in response to growing support for the party’s platform, which prioritizes environmental sustainability, social justice, and grassroots democracy.
“We’re seeing a surge of interest in our party’s vision for Colorado,” said Patrick Dillon, Co-chair of the Green Party of Colorado. “Now is the time to translate that enthusiasm into local leadership that can make a real difference in our communities.”
The GPCO is seeking candidates who align with its core values and are committed to addressing pressing issues such as:
– Climate action and environmental protection
– Affordable housing and homelessness
– Living wages and workers’ rights
– Healthcare access and debt relief
To support potential candidates, the GPCO will host a virtual Future Green Candidates Workshop on Saturday, December 14th, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM MT. This workshop will provide essential information about their local Green Party chapters, developing campaign strategies, navigating ballot access requirements, and connecting with local communities.
