Green Party of Colorado (GPCO) Bill Bartlett, was nominated as a gubernatorial candidate for the party, along with Harry Hempy. Party leaders and those in the activism community sent out their support to have Bartlett run a campaign that would focus the debate on cannabis rights, environmental planning, and challenges facing the working class.
“[I received] a ton of support from many parts of the country, including friends and family. With that support came a lot of professional advice about my candidacy and my long-term goals.” said Bartlett “That wisdom has helped me to make a difficult decision. I have officially withdrawn my nomination for Governor of Colorado.”
This decision makes Harry Hempy official gubernatorial candidate for the GPCO. Despite Bartlett’s withdraw he did leave a message for Colorado voters. “Green Party leadership is strong right now, and our local chapters are seeing increased participation from their communities. Be a part of this change with us. Reach out and let us know you want to help. We have some interesting plans for this year!”

Tell people building the Keystone XL pipeline is going to RAISE gas prices in Colorado and Wyoming.
Probably about 20 to 25 cents a gallon.
Read the August 19th, 2011 National Geographic article on fracking [2 articles, read the one with ‘China’ in the title].
The basic take is Wyoming & Colorado are currently getting a discount of 4 billion dollars a year on the oil from Transcanada, because we are the only available customer [the pipeline terminates here]. So one of the main reasons they are building that pipeline is so they can market it to the world at the Gulf. This will not lower prices anywhere because it is not enough oil to lower global prices, but it will hammer Colorado & Wyoming to the tune of 4 billion dollars,
AND we are risking our environment to shoot ourselves in the economic foot?
Just crazy.
And this is gritty, sandy tar sands oil NOT sweet crude, so it will be scouring and scraping out the insides of those pipes at a phenomenal rate.
Get the REAL truth out: The XL Keystone pipeline RAISES Colorado gas prices!
It will punch another hole in people’s wallets,
And dangerously risk our environment to do so,
where taxpayers will pay for the cleanup, just like we paid the 7 billion dollars to to clean up BP’s Gulf oil spill catastrophe.
