Green, Red, White and Blue Party July 4 at Avogadro’s Number

FORT COLLINS, CO – The annual Green, Red, White and Blue Party – the best 4 th of July party in the Fort – featuring great local music, food, $1 microbrews, and the presentation of the 2012 Green Giant Awards, gets rolling at 3 pm in the cool back patio at Avogadro’s Number, 605 S. Mason Street, Fort Collins. Suggested donation of $5 benefits the Poudre Valley Green Party. The party ends at 7ish, allowing plenty of time to get to the City Park evening fireworks.

This year’s musical lineup features Banjo Sam, Joe Kissell, Barbara Clark, Murder for Hire and Faucets on Fire.

Banjo Sam, who performs Oldies Rock, Folk, original music & Comedy, has played professionally since age 16. He has performed in 40 states and six countries. He is currently living in Reno finishing the theme song for a TV pilot.

Joe Kissell and Barbara Clark are local singer/songwriters who have delighted audiences for years with their beautiful music and passionate lyrics.

In his review of Kissell’s debut CD “Little Box” in Riff Music Magazine, Tim Van Schmidt said “Kissell emerges from the fertile Fort Collins music scene with a distinctive sound and strong original material,” calling his music “authentic, heartfelt… American roots music that thrives with honesty and life-affirming passion.”

With her musical roots in the Texas hill country, where she performed in local venues as well as the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas, Barbara Clark’s work is meaty and gutsy – tender and direct. “One of the most beautiful voices, and some of the best songwriting in Austin, Clark sounds like an angel with a confiding undertone that, quite frankly, ravishes my ears,” states Third Coast Music Magazine’s John Conquest.

Faucets On Fire is an experimental Rock/Hard Rock instrumental band with 4 members and an anti-fracking agenda. Murder For Profit is a Punk Band with 5 members and a strong distaste for the military and factory farming industrial complexes.
