2. TITLE:
Sandy Lemberg on the National Committee
3. FULL PROPOSAL:
Sandy Lemberg has expressed an interest in serving as delegate to the national committee. Tom Kelly will vacate the position if this proposal passes.
4. BACKGROUND:
Sandy expressed an interest in serving after the meeting in Carbondale. I said I would write the proposal for him to replace me.
5. Justification/Goals:
As I said at the state meeting, I would prefer not fill both the co-Chair and national committee delegate position.
6. Pros:
Spreading the work of the GPOC is desirable for several reasons. It lessens the burden on 1 member, invests responsibility and GPOC “ownership” on more members, and it lessens the impact of losing 1 member, who might hold more than 1 position.
Cons:
The work that is required to make the change.
