2. TITLE:
Candidate Support – Spring 2008
3. FULL PROPOSAL:
The Green Party of Colorado will appropriate $100 to each of the six
candidates nominated at the May 3, 2008, state convention.
Candidates: Bob Kinsey, Art Goodtimes, Joe Calhoun, Tony D’Lallo, Scott
Zulauf and Jerry Lacy.
4. BACKGROUND:
The Colorado Green Party has traditionally given each nominated candidate at
least $100 to help support the campaigns of these individuals.
5. JUSTIFICATION/GOALS:
It is important that even with our limited resources the state party show a
financial commitment to our candidates.
6. PROS:
* Demonstrate support to candidates Bob Kinsey, Art Goodtimes, Joe Calhoun,
Tony D’Lallo, Scott Zulauf and Jerry Lacy.
* Provide Colorado Green Party candidates with some financial assistance.
7. CONS:
We don’t have a large bank balance and this appropriation will cause a
significant reduction in our funds.
8. ESTIMATE OF FISCAL IMPACT:
If each candidate accepts the money, the total appropriation will amount to
$600.
9. ALTERNATIVES TO THE PROPOSAL:
Make no appropriation to candidates at this time.
